completely knew here and I am looking to make my first atv purchase in almost 30 years

I'm buying an old used atc from the late 80's.

should I be concerned if there is no title?

I can't even remember if they used to have titles for things like this

Don't know where you're located,but titles for off road bikes started in the early to mid 80's down here in Texas. Before that a mso if you bought it new or simply a bill of sale.The state was really just looking for added revenue.. Now troopers down here pull you over during hunting season checking that you have proof of ownership.Titles get lost,misplaced all the time. First thing I'd do is check the vin# to find out if it's hot or just simply passed through multiple owners over the years and forgotten about. You can always apply for one.
