2000 Polaris 500 stator issue

My stator broke and I can not find the proper replacement... I have purchased three and none of them match.... any suggestions?

2 different stators depending on engine serial # for the 2000 Scrambler. Items #9.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse Look on your recoil housing for the last 4 digits of the engine # and contact Ricks to see which one of these fit.

I have an aftermarket recoil cover... That is what took out my original stator when it came apart internally.I can not find any numbers on the machine anywhere so I only have the vin that is on my registration. Is there any other places I can look to find the numbers?
