decompression spring lever

decompression spring lever
Hi Gents. I lost the spring on the decompression lever when I replaced the valves. Can I run the ATV without the decompression lever on the camshaft? Is not gonna cause problems?

Decompression Lever pin
Thank you very much a a speedy response. much appreciated. the ATV is 2012 Linhai 520 efi 4x4. i have now attached the decompression pin picture just to give you more idea. Thanks very much
