In the summer when I do most of my riding I park in the shade whenever I can to keep the seat from getting hot. A solar panel wouldn't do me any good.

It would be painfully slow and underpowered. Range would be extremely limited too. Just not a viable option.

Check out the last picture on this page. The only clean place to put a solar panel is on the seat. The sun doesn't shine out of my butt, and probably not his either.
