Hello,
any help much appriciated... i rebuilt the carb, used a #98 Jet although the book calls for a #100. (does anyone know if a lower numbered Jet is richer or leaner?) the plug seems to be getting gas fouled? it comes out a little sooty and sometimes wet, but never oil fouled. the weird thing is it runs fine and rides nice, then will suddenly die or not restart? but if i pop a new plug in, it fires right up? any clue anyone?

i have a 85 200s samething well samething happens to me when i turn it off i have to clean or change the spark plug and also empty out the gas in the carb then it will turn back on also mine doesnt idle i always have to be accelerating i dont know why

 

The lower the number, the leaner. Your float maybe bad in the carb
