Have a fat ugly gas tank and then i see others with skinny ones and radiator scoops on the sides?? Were they from different years or something? I like the ones with the skinny tanks but the other ones "factory maybe?" are ugly to me.

 

The Tecates with fat tanks are 84-85's and the bikes with scoops are 86-87's. Both are water cooled, but the 84's had the radator up on the forks with a wide front tire. The 86's had the narrow front wheels and the radator kinda under the fuel tank like the ATC 250r. I had a 84 it was scary fast, the powerband came on like a kick to the nads. Thats the best I remember.Later Joe.

There was a lot of difference in the 85 and 86 motors. The 86 is a lot better. It is faster and more dependable.
