I am looking for a extended swingarm for my 86 tecate 3. I you know of one please write.

 

I just picked up a 1986 Tecate and it has an extended swing arm, however I'm not sure of the manufacture. Do you have anything to trade for it? 1986 Tecate parts? I'm trying to get everything back to stock, so I might consider a trade for a factory swing arm with all the guards and chain rollers included...a complete unit. Let me know!!

 

Yes Im interested in the 86 swingarm. I have a stock swingarm I would be glad to trade. The swingarm I have, is in real good shape. Your tecate has to be an 86 - 87 or they wont fit. Some people seem to think they can use the 84 -85 but thier wrong.

Does your swing arm have all the hardware that goes with it? I'm looking for a complete unit, with chain and rotor guard and chain guides. I'm going for the factory look so that is what I need. My trike is in fact a 1986 Tecate, so the parts are interchangeable. Send me a picture of the swing arm with everything on it and let me think it over.

 

I'll check and see whats on it, and see if I can figure out how to send you a picture in the next few days. If you want some money plus the swingarm let me no. Id like to see a picture of your swingarm also.

As of now I'am unable to take a picture of the swingarm; I have to figure out how to insall the digital camera software on my computer. As soon as I do this I will post a picture or give me your email address and I'll send it to you directly. Like I said earlier, I'm not sure of the manufacture; the guy I bought the bike from said the guy that he bought the bike from raced ATC's. I believe that this swing arm is a quality performance item. The swing arm is made from steel and is lightweight. The color is a nice powder coat white and the length is exactly 24" from end to end. I'm not sure how much longer this swing arm is compared to a factory unit, so you will have to see for yourself. I've looked around and have been able to locate a factory swingarm from one of the local cycle salvage yards for a reasonalbe price, so I'm going to go with that. From what I was told, these swing arms are extremely rare. I would be willing to sell this for $300, plus shipping. I think this is a reasonable price considering that they are no longer made and that this swingarm is in excellent condition. Let me know what you think.

 

Ok, I'll measure my stock one to see how much over stock yours is? A CALFAB just sold on ebay the other week for $300.00 and it is top of the line.

Just from the way you described it Im guessing it is a West Coast Swinger. Im the one who sold the Cal Fab on ebay. The Cal-Fabs were made out of aluminum, most of the west coast swingers were made out of chromoly steel.
