yeah im david- im 15- and i gots me a lil honda atc 70 and im not getting the umph that would be nice to get out of it. i know this is an old *** trike with a not so great design but can anyone give me some cheap stuff to do to it that wont damage it. and some peeps may be wondering like "sh*t dude- why the hell are you messing with an old piece like that- well i have no money and i think its a pretty pimp ride when you dont wanna drive around with an adult with you (dang drivers permit). ok well ive found out it might not be too great to run it without the air filter- but i just ride it on the road and it never has really seen mud- but it makes it sound really cool haha. ok- all of your imput would be appreciated, thanks.

PS!!- also, i ride it and heres the deal- gas it in first- shift- gas it in second- shift gas it in third and it doesnt get to that WEEEEE sound or the power. it just goes weou pop pop sputter wooo and it SERIOUSLY loses speed. ive gotten up to a lil over 30 on this thing and today it was barely topping at 23- maybe somethings wrong- me or the threewheeler. im an idiot, i need help

 

all that i can think of is a UNI air filter, take the air box lid off, and rejeting. if you want to go faster put bigger tires on and the front sproket bigger and rear smaller.

 

sputtering and poping huh, could be bad gas, dirty carb, blockage in the intake or exhaust. Is your tank rusty? If you are getting rust in your gas, it would cause it to run funny- Clean the carb, check the exhasust and intake for anything stuck in them, get some fresh gas and try again...

 

The tank on mine kept rusting and I put an auto fuel filter on it and it ran fine for a while. I kept havign to change it and finally went to a junk yard and got a tank for it that had the inside coated with some white stuff that prevernts rust. It ran good for a while but not there's something else wrong with it. I think the coil is messed up and the carb is messes up too. Anyone else know what to do?

 

aight- put the air filter on and it runs great- im thinking of sellin my lil ol 70 trike because my best friends boyfriend is getting a 400ex for christmas and im prolly gonna bu his mojave for 1000 or so- its a 2000 and he doesnt want it anymore. well i guess thats all i gosta say for now- lata playas
