Hey, i was wonderin if a 4-valve 1986 200x will hang with a 300ex and a blaster? And also how much will a new headlight assembly cost for this particular bike, or is there some way to get both headlights to work on a 350x headlight assembly? Cuz i heard that since it was originally a single headlight assembly the 350x won't work because there aren't enough wires to light the other bulb. Oh yeah, can i get a racing number plate somewhere until i get a headlight to fix it? Thanks.

My 200x beats my blasters(with pipes and shaved head ect ect) so it would beat a 300ex, but its been ported a little bit and has a pipe. But there deffintly awsome!! And in 86 it was upgraded to a six speed and more compression, so it would be awsome!

I dont recall the redesigned 86 200x having a 4 valve head. It did however have a 6 speed tranny. Top speed on my stock 86 was very close to my friends stock 250x which is about 1 mph faster than my 95 300ex. They are all pretty much the same .

Well, according to the guy i'm buying the 200x from its a 4-valve head. But i don't know if he's right or wrong. I'll have to get the specs on it.

its definitely not a 4 valve motor, its 2 valve. great motor nonetheless.

if it's a 4 valve you hit the jackpot for it's a 350x not a 200x, I had both and the 200x is all two vavle period. both are fun and wheelie machines, 350x has way better suspension.

I own a 84 200x
1983,84, and 85 are all 2 valve heads.
The 1986, and 87 are 4 valve heads.
A modified 200x is still slow. Mine has wiesco 12.5:1 compression piston, better flowing air filter, better flowing dg exhaust, and increased carb jet. And my wife's bone stock Kawasaki Mojave 250 will beat it every time. Once my friend Dave beat her on the 3 wheeler, when she missed a shift into 3rd gear.
And her Mojave is slow too. I ride a crf450...that is fast.
