The since discontinued 3 Wheeling Magazine, don't know which issue, clocked the R at 76 mph. That is the fastest "stock" top speed that I have ever seen for it.
One thing to keep in mind is that if your stock R is a little tired, you won't be able to pull 6th gear. I ride a Raptor now but I do miss my 3 wheeler, I had a lot of fun on it!

The motor may bog, or not accelerate all the way through 6th if your rings are a little worn and your not getting all the cylinder pressure that you used to get when the engine was new.
I had a similar issue on my R. It had smaller tires on it when I bought it (with a different rear sprocket). It was set up where it would pull through 6th pretty easily. One of the tires got a leaky valve stem so I put the stockers back on. Now you really have to hammer 5th gear all the way out and power shift into 6th to have the engine at a high enough rpm to produce enough hp to "pull' throgh 6th. But damn, if you do get it on the pipe in 6th you are freaking haullin'. I weigh about 190 and my buddy who weighs about 225 couldnt get 6th to pull at all, that's how close it is to needing a different rear sprocket with more teeth to numerically raise the final drive ratio.
Hope this helps

Most people would say that a 250r is faster,
but if their both stock a 350x will beat it on top end
but 250r is faster on take off.
I heard that stock a 250r will run about 73mph.
A stock 86 350x which is faster than 85 runs about the same as a 250r.
