I was checking out some old Honda 3 wheeler adds and ran across a 1983 Honda Odyssey! These look really cool. For you that have never seen one check it out Odyssey

 

hey, i jsut got back in from riding odyssey. FL250. those things are a blast, and kinda scary too. if you ever get one, make sure that the front suspension it still in one piece and not bent up too bad. my brothers 350X is still faster though, but it is fun.

 

is it small enough to fit in a pickup?

 

it might be a little long for a short box truck, but if it is the front is soo light that you can set it on anything. i had to take the tire off this morning so i jsut lifted with one arm, and slid the tire off with the other. that light. all in all, its very small. before you start it, make sure that the throttle is free! those things are belt drive so if it revs its gone.

 

Are the things more of a "dune buggy" ? Or are the capable of more? I have never seen one until today, so I am interested. Do they have gears, or is it a one speed(overgrown go-cart)?

 

I have an 83fl250 and an 85fl350
The smaller ones have no reverse and are a cvt drive
The 350's and pilots have reverse and full suspension..
Either way they are a blast to ride and relatively safe at that..
They have seat belts and a role cage, you have to try to
flip them...they are more stable than they look..

 

theyre kinda tempermental in stock form.....your arm will be huge from pulling it over....but the 1/2 hr it takes to get it running is worth the 5 min of ride time....they are the most fun ive ever had on anything....and, you can always make a little motor swap to have even more fun.......(see below)
