What should i try and find?

Ok, later this summer i'm finally gonna have over a grand to spend on a trike. I'm tryin to decide what year of 200x would be the best to look for if i can't find a 350x. The only models that i like the looks of are the 85' and 86' 200x's. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

The 83 to 85 200 x basically look the same. The 86 and 87 200 x looks a bit different. The newer model has a better engine, 6 gears, and more suspension travel. They are also harder to find. I just bought a 84 200 x for $600. I just need a few small things to make it a great bike. Check out the photo on my page.

That 200x looks nice, it would look awesome if it had its original decals on it. On the 86' 200x's, is the top speed a lot faster or just a bit, and also is the suspension a lot better or just a bit. I really need something that has softer suspension than my 250 Big Red, my as$ is gettin sore lol.

The '86-'87 200X models had a small ammount more power than the '83-'85 models stock vs. stock and are a bit faster on topend with the extra gearing, but built versus built, the '86-'87 models are left in the dust compared to the earlier engines.
No room in the bottom end for a signicant stroke, thinner cylinder walls than the earlier models [wow!], and a weak rocker design that doesn't hold up well to high revs.

I guess that would depend on if you were going to mod it.
Oh, and about the decals. I could only get the originals for a 85 model at the dealer so I opted for some aftermarkets. There on order now along with moose bars, a chain, and a new air filter. The decals will look good enough for me. I'm not going for a mint condition oem look. I just want a clean bike that I can ride or sell for profit.
Hey Knows,
Do you have the honda specs for the 200x's and the 350x? Would you mind posting them. (weight, suspension travel, compression, etc..)

Madwolverine, i'm probably not gonna heavily mod any new trike i get, maybe a new pipe, air filter, and different front sprocket but other than that i'm just gonna leave it as is. So would the 200x be worth getting or should i just find something totally different to ride? Oh, this might help, i weigh 180lbs and i'm 6'2". I guess i'm gonna have to try like hell to find a 350x....
