200x vs Wolverine Results!
#1
Well I just got to take my two bikes out together yesterday. I was curious as to how the yamaha would run against the atc. Here is how they compare:
1st through 3rd on the honda will be close. They were pretty much even. The atc might even pull on the wolverine but it is traction limited. After you shift the honda into 4th the Wolverine starts pulling away with ease. However they seem to be close on top speed. The honda never was able to catch up but might have if given enough room. My riding buddy weighed within 10 lbs of my weight. We switched machines with pretty much the same results.
Not bad for a 20 year old trike.
As for jumping. I prefer the yamaha.

Probably not if the Wolverine is stock. You gotta think there is potential for the wolverine to be fast though based on how this turned out. My 200x has a slip on supertrapp and my wolverine is bone stock and hardly even broke in. I had another 200x that I built with a wiseco piston and a curtis sparks full exhaust. It was faster than a stock 300ex.

Hey 86250: How's the weather in Monroe? I'm from the Monroe area but have been working in Washington for the last couple of years. Can't wait to get back home.
Thrash: I believe both of the sprockets are stock. The tires are 22" fast trekkers. Like I said I think the x is better in the first three gears but it was spinning a little. I also said that given enough room it might have been faster on the top end. The x is a blast to ride and is not at all slow for what it is. Also the Wolverine has excellent mid range power for a 350 4x4. I actually wondered if the yamaha was going to get smoked before I raced them though.
drummer guy: Duh..... wolverine = 350 weighing 477lbs
350x = 350 weighing 322lbs
I bet my old 87 vulcan would have smoked your 350
I also bet that my wolverine will whip your x in the mud.
