i just put a UNI air filter on my quad and now it keeps cutting out and dying. and then it wont start without holding down the throttle. could it be jetting and should i go smaller or larger

If it ran fine before the filter change than all you need to do is increase your fuel. USUALLY this does not happen. If a filter change made that big of a difference that your old one was completley plugged or you were on the utmost limit of your jet anyway. before you go buy a jet change your clip position a little first. Move the clip DOWN toward the pointed end! This will raise your needle and give you more fuel.
