Can someone tell me exactly how much oil the 250r takes and what weight oil is recommended. Thanks in advance. If it says how much oil it takes on the bike I surely cant find it. I unscrewed the little screw on the side and oil came out but should oil continue to come out or is that the line at which it should be. And should this be checked when the bike is cold or hot

It will hold less than 1 quart. There is a check bolt on the side of the cover. I have always used Castrol 20W-50 but there is probally something better.

900cc i am not sure. Check the number printed nect to the oil fill. Then get a ratio cup and fill to the proper level. This will elimanate guess work.
