i just did some work to my big red i put a new piston in and new vales but when i went to start it i will not start it has spark and is getting gas but it will not fire i do not know what is wrong

i just cheaked the comprestion and it was 25 pis that is not good dose any one know what is wrong the piston is in right the gaskits are new and on and the bolts are torqued down to the right specks i do not know what is worng

Did you do the work yourself.....ie gaskets??

If the valve is open it will not have the right compression

 

Check the valve timing and valve clearance. If you only have 25 pounds, its not gonna start.

 

I agree. It doesn't take but a minute to adjust the valves. If they are right then take the time to check the timing. Make sure your compression release isn't hung either.

 

How are the piston rings?

 

hey man, check the air intake tube from the carb to the airbox, see if its puking any gas that way....this is a sure indicator that your timing is off. its probly just a timing problem...shouldnt be all that hard to straighten out---maybe someone more knowledgable than me can let him know where that marks are supposed to be on that machine.

 

the tube is full of gas and it is spraying out of the carb i have know idea on how to adjust the timeing dose any one know about them and how to adjust it

but y would there be 25 pis of comprstion would timeing do that

and the rigs are brand new

the guy at the honda shop told me it was vales and i do not know why it would be valves when i just got new ones what to u guys think

 

i think hes yanking your chain[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]..my best guess would be timing also! lol
