I was lokking aroung for a new bike and found a 1984 200x.Has cobra pipe and K&n
I rode it at my friends and it does about 60 and it beat a 300ex. It was for $1000

 

I paid $800 for an 85 atc 250r, and I smoke 440ex's. Seems a little high. A buddy of mine bought a 200x last week. He got it for $800. It has a cobra pipe, web cam, and douglas wheels with new tires. The guy was the first owner and still had the owners manual. This thing is beatiful, I really do not think it has ever been turned over on the bars before. Before I would fork out that kind of cash it would have to be somthing as nice as his.

 

$1000 is about the max!!!!!! my 200x is in pretty darn good shape, runs very strong for a 200 and it is about the 7-800 range.

sort of off topic but:
a buddy of mine has a 200x he wants to get rid of. the thing is though is it wont start by itself it needs to be push started. now i havnt talked to the guy about it but i was wondering what it mite be and what it could cost to fix cause if its fixable then maby ill take it off him

 

i bought my 200x for $300 and it runs fine

 

If you are having to push it off to start it the compression may be low. The valves may be to tight or it might need a set of rings.
