what wins stock 250R or 350X
#2
if its an 86 350x and hes racing an 81-84 250r yea it will beat it. but if its an 86 350x and an 85 or 86 250r bone stock it will be close but i think the r might win, but depending on the conditions the x might win. on the trails the x would come out a little better than the r though. hope this helps and i might be a little wrong but not by much if any.

people were saying 350x can beat the 85-86 250r on take off but the 250r has a faster final gear ratio which would totally smoke the 350x. but once when i raced mine against the 250r i smoked him going up the dunes well ofcourse the 350x has more torque. but i didnt know what mods he had but he did have the pipes and it was pretty loud. close race though he was way off my a$$.

84 and lower 250R will be close, 85 and 86 the 250R will walk away with it hands down.

85-86 350X vs 85-86250R - The X will only be around in the first 2 gears maybe 3 but after that the R will walk away from the X with ease. I've been riding trikes since 1975 and I have never seen a 350X modded or not stay even close to an R in a long stretch. The 85-86 R and the 86-87 Tecate were the fastest trikes ever built off the showroom floor.

I've been in this race. When my TRX was stock except a k&n air filter, I laid the smack down on a piped 350X with a 38mm carb.
On dirt or gravel, it was tougher to beat him...at the time I had 22" inch balloon tires that would expand to be about 4" across.
I lost that race, no matter how hard I tried with those tires I couldnt get traction til mid 6th gear. So I guess there are variables here.
If you're gonna race him, since you have a pipe and nice tires...race on loose gravel. You will more than likely win and he will spin
himself into a hole.

well ive raced lots of warriors and ive smoked them mabe the warriors would beat 350x stock mabe not, the 350 warrior has less ponies than the 350x. the warriors are 2 valve 4 srtoke 348cc, the 350x are 4 valve 4 stroke 350.4cc oil cooler. dont know bout that one. but anyways warriors are weak ive raced them with headers pipes k&n's and more and they usually got beat.
