What's up with the 250R selling price?

Man I have tried 3 times over the past 6 months to get rid of it but it won't go. The trader showed everyone selling them for around $1800 to 2K. I've got a mild port/polish, Duncan Pyramid reed cage, 3" over swing arm, brand spankin new rear Holeshot MX tires on Douglas wheels with a set of paddles to boot. I can't even get $1500 last time I tried. Are these things just tankin' in value or what?

Yea over here there are alot of Atc 250r's some guy was selling his 85 250r with spare motor extra set of paddles, and more acc. and was selling it for $1300 and hasnt sold it and the bike was mint. over here in salinas valley area in california there are alot of trx and atc 250r's mostly all these bikes are over here my brother in law as 1 with 350 big bore its an 85 and his friend has 3 86 250r's. but these bikes over they strip them down for racing only. i havnt seen one stock. but i think for a good 250r 85 model and bike is in good condish $1200 would be good. depending on mods too.

the average selling price of a 85-86 R is like 1600-2200 dollars during the heat of the season. ive had guys offer me 1500-1800 cash on the spot in out riding when i first bought the bike and it had broken plastics and the stock pipe on it. if the bike is clean, you should have no problem selling it for 1500+. my friend just sold his 85 (bad-fair condition) and it has a stuttering problem that i couldnt pinpoint or give a rats a$$ about because he kept crashing it anyways.
wait for the season to spark back up. trust me, there are plenty of people saving for these machines for the new season, i used to be one of them.

Funny how you say they are a dime a dozen, yet you guys also say they are going for 1600-2200. Hell, 800-1200 will get you a damn nice one here in the Mid-USA, and they are hard to find.
