Well some of the old Tiger 3 wheelers would go around 85mph. But they were also hand built to the customers specs.

74 on 3 wheels? Dont think so, i think 58-61mph sounds about right.
dont mean to knock on you but you must not remember the 3wheeler era?? ive seen a bigred hit over 60. a 200x could easily hit 60-65. a 250R doing 74 is nothing. i'll dig up some old books of when they would actually print the top speed(back before the magazines started to SUCK) - it wasnt an uncommon thing to see like 80+ in there for the topdog threewheelers of that time period.

i have a trx250r- it does 72-75 with no problem and it weighs more than the ATC250r version. i knew a guy that had an 83 ATC, had some work done to it and it would do over 85 with no problem.

ive seen stock 250Rs (ATC) whip a banshee's @ss. lets see...a banshee will do 77mph and has done it since 1987 -thats a fact. and a ATC250r will pass it up..hmmm.. must be doing about 80+ in order to do that.

To add my 2 cents here.........86LT250RFatty, your nuts!!!!! twentycharacters, your correct, my 200x hits right at 65-66mph.

70 is not out of the question at all, but it ALL depends on about 10 factors!.....tire size, reeds, pipe, front and rear sprocket, weight of rider, altitude, ect, ect......

Yep, whipped some Banshees and others and was clocked about 80-82. A fast trike with a little gearing and tire change will surprise you.
