keeping down the gas tank...

Default keeping down the gas tank...

hey i got a 185s and when i ride or ride wheelies the gas tank is alway moving and coming up and bouncing and what not what do i need to replace or put on it too keep it down and not move?

you need to put on some cushions where the tank joints rest, they are round grommets, my 350x was like that too so i just replaced the grommets on the frame to the tank.

there should be a bolt that screws into the fram to hold the rear down and the front has rubber grommets that hold the tank to the frame and enables it to flex..

alright then can i get the grommets from a dealer or what how can i get them and if i can get them from the dealer how will it cost?

theyre just two little rubbers you can find then on an atv junk or on al older dirkbikes.

yea they could they can me anywhere like on the seats,tanks,plastic joints you can find them.

i know in canada here the grommets for the tank of the 185/200 are $3 each from the honda dealer..

you can also find them on e-bay, i had to pick up a pair for my seat.....
