i was wondering if theres any engine that would fit in a 200s frame with out much mods done

and about how fast will a stock 200s go

A 185 engine will fit and a 83-85 200x engine might fit with a little bit of modification but i am not sure, as for top speed prolly about 45-50 miles and hour i would guess, I have never had the desire to top mine out so i dont really know.

 

Top speed is about 52.

 

I'm about 150 pounds and I top out around 49 mph on my '84 200s.

 

Boy I can talk about 200s's....

Our first bike was a 200s - my dad rode the crap out of it - then gave it to me - then it became a workhorse (towing the drag around the R/C track in Lucerne Valley, CA) for a few years before selling it to a bunch of kids.

We had so much fun on that bike...

Full rear suspension (dirt works kit)
widened rear axle
aluminum wheels
exhaust
a bit of motor work here and there...

We would ride with the guys on 250r's running our dune patrol - and do a very good job of keeping up.

Being a kid was so much fun - spending dad's money and all!

 

My 200s tops out at 55mph with just a K&N airfilter in it. Not bad at all, i can take a lot of quads still with my trike but not my lakota[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Any 185 or 200 atc honda engine will fit a 200s frame including the 200x. The only exception is the shaft drive big red 200s. These will fit the frame but would have to be converted to chain drive. You could even get a 200m which I believe has electric start.

The 200s will usually do over 50mph.

 

Hey waynerod do u no if they still make those full rear suspension dirtworks kit for the 200s. IF they do, do u no where i could get one. And how much im a little low on cash at the mosment. Thanx for the help alex
