Default Ext Swingarm

Has anyone extended a stock swingarm 4"? Is it hard to do? Do I have to change the shock mount location or linkage? I realize I will need a longer chain and brake line.

Thanks,

JkAss

the stock location should not move. if i were you, id just look for a used one. search around www.planetsand.com classifieds. they're always selling crap. also glamisdunes.com.

www.davemooreracing.com or www.metaltechproducts.com does them for fairly cheap. dave moore stuff is top shelf, bar none.

oh, and you wont need a new brake line, just loosen up the cable that connects to the rear brake cylinder, and straighten out the line. that is enough for a +4. you'll need a longer chain of couse. i run a non-oring DID gold. i forgot the size, but any shop can look it up.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot. Will +4 make a big enough difference to keep the front end down or should I go longer?

mine definitely helps and is still great for duning. i cant imagine a +6 but it might be feasable as well. price should be the same from any builder. my uncles had 85's on nitrous (250's) one with a +4 the other a +6 and the one with the +6 regreted it and wanted a +4. just some food for thought.

On a trike swing arm you wont have to do anything to the shock/mounts. Just make sure when they lenthin it they cut it behind the mount and infront of the bearing carrier (duh). On a 330 with an average port you should have a good amount of torque so I would go 5 inches over but no more.
