I have an 81 185s that ran but smoked alot so i rebuilt the engine in it and also did a carb rebuild and new airfilter and everythin but now since i did all this i cannot get it started. The only way it will run is if u pull start it and it dies as sonn as you quit pulling and it runs really boggy. If you pull the plug out it looks like its brand new seems like its not getting gas so i cleaned the carb again that didnt work. Checked the valve timing and clearance again and it is good it also has good compression and good spark any ideas. Any help would be apprecciated.

is the bowl filling with fuel?

 

Also, do you have your firing time set right?? that was the problem on mine once i got it back together
