It all depends on each bikes setup, rider size(have noticed most on Banshees these days are kids who weigh about 100 friggin pounds and us older heavier guys 200+ are on 250R) and rider skill level. Setup is the biggest factor though.

right off the bat I wanna say banshee but how many stock atcs are out there? Or banshees for that matter. I too agree that rider size has a lot to do with it.

It depends on the race. Straight line, probably the Banshee. But for anything else, it has to be the 'R'.

I can personally vouch that the R is faster, stock for stock. I had a K&N fiilter and everything else was stock on my bike. Same for my buddies banshee. We were about equal in abilities and I was about 50 lbs more than him. We raced on a red cinder road and I pulled him from the start beat him. These bikes are so close, whoever gets a better start will be the one winning the race.

Well this subject is like beating a dead horse...with that said, its kinda like the rest of the guys have already stated. Its all about the money. Stock for stock the banshee would have a hard time with the trike. But, build for build with a good wheelie bar and the banshee will still have a very hard time with the trike...as long as you can keep the trike straight on the track. The trike is somewhat lighter, which will be a very big advantage, but the handling of the trike makes it a little challenging. Now, I have seen some very fast TRX sand blast some very fast banshees aswell. Just my 2 cents
