There's this dude thats talkin like his tri-z is the shizz and one of my friends told him that my 350x could smoke it so now he wants to race me. How much of a chance do i stand against a Tri-Z thats piped and jetted vs. my 350x thats piped and jetted on a 1/4 mile stretch thats paved?

 

Unless his Tri-Z is a complete POS, you are toast.

 

I have to say the same thing. 2 stroke vs 4.........with only 100cc difference.....he's got it............Here in Missouri you can run a 450cc 4 stroke in the 250cc MX race. The 2 strokes have a huge advantage in speed, but you could pull him backwards around the block [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Thats what i was thinkin. Those 2-strokers are pretty quick. I'll probably end up racin him anyway just for fun lol. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

Fun is what it's all about........if you loose then just invite him on a "in the tight woods and mud" type of race, and hand his @$$ to him [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

here is a thought you could put a 2 tooth bigger front sprocket(under $20) on your trike, make it a longer race, and take him...... because according to stock speeds you are only like 5 MPH slower on top end

 

Well i'm not sure if i can go up anymore on my front sprocket because the 14 i have on there now is almost too big and is barely clearin the side case. I could drop a couple of teeth in the rear but i think i'm gonna leave it alone because i don't think it would have any ***** at all on take off if i geared it any higher lol. It's gonna be a whole different story when i get a high compression piston, cam, porting, and a lengthened swing arm [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img].

 

opps, I didn't see you had that 14...........hell this race may be a little closer that we are giving you credit for.........just make it long enough of a race you can be toped out for awhile..........

 

I'm afraid you're probably toast, although the Tri-Z may only have 5-6 mph top end or so on you, he will get there MUCH quicker! Especially once he gets traction. But no harm in giving it a try eh? Maybe you are a better drag racer than he is, that alone could make the difference with a trike like the 350X.
