my friend is getting a 250R off of his cousin and i'm going to buy it off of him. but i don't know what year the bike is i'm just getting it so i can start to go riding with my friends. i know it needs at least a new to end and handle bars i'm not sure what else. its only 400 bucks. do you think putting in all this money into to it if its a real old one thats air cooled? how hard are parts to cme buy on these? right now i'm not sure what year it is it could be any year i just woundering if i should even bother getting it?

 

$400 for a 250R.......I dont care what year it is, as long as it isn't Trashed out.......I'd get it! Even an aircooled 250r with a little T.L.C. (and $) will beat 80% of the 4 stroke quads. Some of the older ones are a little harder to find aftermarket parts for, but stock ones aren't to bad to find. When I got my first ATV I never even thought of wanting a 3-wheeler, BUT a guy at my work had one for sale so I checked it out. Payed $350 for the 200X. Bought it on the spot did a frame off resto on it (totally cost was like.....$175 to get everything safe and going), and rode the hell out of it. If you end up getting a trike, then I hope you like working on stuff because most shops wont touch it. If you have troubles fixing it just get a book, and come on here and ask, someone will get you through it!..........[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

i dont think you should get it, those things are junk. i hate 3 wheelers. lol just kidding tim. dont doubt the ATC. we are getting it! im sure you will like it. no matter what year. it will still be fun to have and ride. come on, $400? 3 wheelers are awesome!
