i was looking for body parts, maier dosnt make them, are there any other aftermarket companies? im also wanting to know what the differnce there is between the 185 and 185s, from what i can tell, the 185s has shocks on the front, how do i find out if the interchangeability of parts between diffent years and makes?

i am about 99.9% sure that every thing is interchangeable and the only differance that i know of is the shocks on the front and the head light is square on the 81 where the headlight is round on the 80 ... i also thought the same thing about my 185 when i first started looking for parts ... i know i have seen the plastic's on ebay (brand new) but heres a link www.bikebandit.com/partsbandit/OEM.asp they have OEM parts for the 1980 185
good thing is those ATC are toughas nails so you dont have to look for parts very often...

I did a little research on your 185.......the rear fender is a 2 piece right? If it is...it will not change out with the 185S (1 piece)....and the front fenders are not the same part #'s either...... You might have a hard one here! but I am still looking.

mine has only needed 1 carb cleaning and 1 spark plug and a new recoil in 3 years of extreme abuse and it will go where new 2wd utility quads cant .. yup i call that tuff!, guess i got real lucky for 150bucks

I found the front fender, headlight, and tons of other stuff. The rear fender looks hard to find, though.
I recently rebuilt a '85 Tri-Zinger 60 and they had everything that eBay didn't.

i got mine a couple weeks ago for 240 dollars, im having a buddy that rebuilds small engines put a new cylinderhead, piston, and rings in it, next im manufacturing my own exhaust system, from a new muffler bought from a farm supply store intended for a small farm machine, its about two inches in diam. and a foot long, only problem is reducing from one pipe to the other, but im sure i will figgure it out. i need lots of little things like cables and stuff but overall its in fair condition. its a good toy for someone like me thats got more time than money.
