I must admitt im not that great when it comes to pricing some things. I was just woundering what you guys though I could get for my 85 200X. I very recently rebuilt it with a high compression piston, replaced some gears in the case, new clutch, new (big) cam, piped, polished side cover, has been ported, and theres other things im missing out on the motor. It runs VERY strong, and always starts first kick. Has new tires, new IMS tank, ect ect, everything works on it and has alot of new parts. If you guys could give me an idea of what i should sell it for id appricate it.

Wow, I figured I could get 1,000 for it. Theres some in the paper around here for over 1,200. How much did you sell yours for thrashandcrash?

 

Just sold my nice '83 200x for $650. Had trouble selling it at that price. It was in about the same condition as yours. Where I live in Michigan, the market for trikes seems to be a little worse than the west coast. Out there they still sell like hot cakes. Maine is probably a tough market.

 

That IMS tanks looks nice! Where did you pick it up?

A lot depends on your local market. What are similar machines going for? Mods can work for or against you when selling a machine. Some people will pay a bit extra, some will pay less.

 

The tank came on the the trike when I got it. I dont know if they still make them for the X. I bet I can sell it to a young kid after he lissens to it for 1,000. Ill let you guys know..

 

I bought my 86 200x(very different) for 700. Guy wanted 900, came with 700 cash and I got it. The 83-85 are much more common so they tend to have less resale. Goodluck selling it. Notice Im in Maine so the prices should be pretty close.

 

$650...it was in great shape, 10.5 to 1 piston, head ported and polished, air filter ect........ I have to say I gave up pretty early because I had my YZ250 in the garage getting a frame-off resto and needed the cash to finish it! The price totally depends on where you like, and the time of year.
