Default 250r carb

I'm looking for a little help here, I got a carb rebluid kit with slow jet#72, main jet #142 rad valve, and fmf pipe. and with all this my bottom end sucks it doesnt even hit power band till like 3rd gear i know i have a carb problem but i cant figure out if the carb just needs to be ajusted or the jets are wrong, i'm also running 40:1 gas with klotz R50. Its also smoking alot too i just changed my packing. Maybe the rings are shot?

Do a compression check for the rings.

A lot of things can cause loss of low end torque.

I've not heard good things about the FMF Fatty. Do you have the stock pipe to see if it makes a difference?

Reeds can also affect torque. Reed spacer might help.

It is a 2 stroke, so its a top end freak anyway.

Is your gearing stock? If its geared for top end, the first couple gears will be really slow.

Is the carb stock? are the plugs fouled.

Not saying any of this is your prob, just thrwin stuff out there
