84 250r jetting

Default 84 250r jetting

the hights tempature has been about 27 and my 250r will not run it idols fine but will not go. i figure it was the jets because a few weeks a go when it was warmer like 40 it ran fine i took the jets out and i have a 40 poilt an a 105 main to me they seem small i noted that the 250 did not seem to have that much low end powr hard to pull wheelie. back to the poitwhich jets do you guys think i sould run for this cold weather.

105???? Really?
Dude - that is waaaay too small, especially with more dense, colder air.....
I have an extra 150 if you want it.

yea 105 it did not seam right to me. thanks for the offer on the jet but i could go to go to the dealer and grab one tomorrow i just did not know what size to get for the pilot and main jet
all i want to do is go riding in the snow thank for the help nick

could any one tell me what size jets i sould get for the main and poilt jet

The stock jets are a 50/ 130
What mods are you running on that trike?

there ar no engine mods right now but i plan on getting a dg pipe and reeds this summer

This is true - I just now pulled the stock jets out of a 30mm PE and they were 50/130.
I would use 50/140 for now up in NH. Maybe get a 150 or 155 for the pipe and reeds.

I have to ask about the history of this bike??? It can't be NH - not even Mt. Washington is high enough to warrant a main jet as small as 105. Where did it come from?? Everest?????

i know the guy who for 12 years and he had it here in derry NH all i seen him ride was i the summer barly rode the thing and when i rode it it worked fine until it hit about 35 degrees out the would idol but you cold not go any where. it did not seem to have good low end i could barly pull wheelies it was esyer on the big red the that do you think the jet will help with that.

Well, I would but it not that pretty yet.
I wanted to do the mechanicals perfect, now I'll strip it and powder coat and paint everything.
I am going to see how much I can get out of the old airhead at the wheels on gas - we'll see.

Check out my new plastic tank I bought - ever seen one for an airhead??

i like the looks of that tank i cant wait until tomorrow to get the jets in my trike and go for a ride thank for the help nick
