I just bought an 85 250es. I wasn't really looking for another Big Red but the right deal came along. Anyway one problem with it is the right axle seems to be bent, it vibrates at higher speeds, this is pretty obvious when watching it go down a paved road from behind. How much work is involved with replacing an axle, is it someithing that I could do myself or should I take it to the shop?

 

Well on my 200x it is cake to replace the rear axle. But i think that the axle on yours is shaft driven so I wouldnt know. If it was at the right price you might as well try it and then go from there thats my $.02
