Flywheel removal on 200s
#1
I am trying to remove the flywheel on my 200s to replace the stator. I can not get it off. I have broken my FW puller trying to do so. It was just a universal one. Is there a way to make one. Also any other tips or advise on the process of replacing the stator would be helpful. I am replacing the stator because of weak spark.
Thanks Andrew

well i had the same problem couldnt get the flywheel off so i got a lawnmower blade with 3 holes in it for the bolts and i bolted it to the flwheel where the thing the pullstart catches on and i got a little flywheel puller with 2 hooks. i then tightened the puller hard, tapped it with a hammer them it just poped off. hope this helps ill post a pic in my photo page of my puller i made.

You have to take off the crankshaft nut and the 4? pulley bolts. This will allow you to take off the pulley that the pull start engages on & the fan if it has one. Then you thread the puller into the opening in the middle of the flywheel. Then tighten down the bolt on the center of the puller. (you may have to hold the large part of the puller while tightening the bolt.)
Hope it helps.
