rattle noise
#1
200m atc there is a rattling sound when im riding at a constant speed . the spacer on the axle could be making this noise ? i just did rear axle bearings is there some thing i missed ?
its nothing like a loose fender or such i looked for the obvious. what does this spacer do ? is it neccesary?
also the rubber grommet that is on the head light support that goes into the front cross member for the front forks what do you use when they are gone

The fork grommet, you get from your Honda dealer.
As for the spacer, I assume you are referring to the spacer between the two bearings in the carrier?? That spacer is tight when you tightened the axle nuts because both of the inside races of the bearing mesh to it. It would have to be SEVERELY worn to have any slack after running up the nuts.
And also, to answer your question....if the bearing spacer is not there, then yes...it is VERY important that it is put back into place. Not doing so will cause the bearing races to collapse in a very short time.
Its been a while since I had an M rear end apart, but I cannot remember any other spacers used back there.
Check to be sure your rear wheels hubs are both tight because it doesnt take much slack there to make noise...and cause major spline wear.
You might also want to check to see if all 4 bolts from the carrier to the frame are tight. And also eliminate chain interference.
I cant think of anything else that you would have removed that would have caused an issue of "rattling".
When are we going to get an option to download sound bytes in here?!?!
