Will and extended swing arm, or just a swing arm in general that is on a 1989 250R quad fit on the 85 250R trikes? Want to be sure prior to buying it

i was goin to do the same thing only 86 and 87 years 250r will fit on the 85 i was just lookin at it in my service manuel

 

intresting. How about a lone star swing arm that was on honda 250R quad? Are these a universal swing arm? I have a local guy that is selling an 8" extended from lone star which is coming off his 89 250R quad. It looks very similar, but nor he or I are certain it will fit.

 

If he lives locally then why dont you take your 250 over there with the swing arm off and see if it will fit? If you do this I would take the axle that your using and see if the chain will aling right. Or just take your swing arm down there and match them up.

 

What a great question.... But I don't know for sure and for some reason I don't think they will. I think the bering carrier size for the rear axel changed between models. The only advise I can give is go check with the local Honda guys and compare on the ole' microfish viewer.
