Gas $$$$ survey

there are plants everywhere down here, too.
recently, one of the main shell platforms went back online in the gulf (was being repaired due to the hurricane last yr) which i think makes about 5% of the oil they produce for the USA and our prices are still in the $2.80-.90 range for 87. Premium is at or over $3. if fluxuates daily though. I work with a guy that his wife works for a local retail oil comp and there is a meeting everyday amongst their "cartel" to determine the price for gasoline that is usually set at 6pm that day. he always tells us go fill up before 6pm b/c they are raising the prices by xx per gallon. he's been right most of the time. dont know if that applies to other states or not. its interesting though...
BP is still the highest for some reason and they are partner with shell. I guess they are trying to pay for the alaskan pipeline problem...

man guys I guess ohio didnt get the memo to raise their gas prices because they just keep going down. BUT we do have a very wide variety of gas prices. From 2.44 to 2.75 so I guess we are not havin a gas station monopoly anymore!!! I think thats what kills us the MOST!!!

Alaska is not a problem. You really think they didn't know they needed repairs years ago? They could have started fixxing them then. Plus pipes with oil flowing through them don't tend to corrode to easily. This all pure greed. I'm in the oil and gas industry and if anyone says different they are full of BS! These oil companies are ordering new equipment daily to increase their supply of oil and natural gas and charge us more $$$$!

oh i know. i said that last part of the other reply sarcastically. i guess i should have put a there!
they are very greedy. i find it hard to believe that they just woke up one day and said "uh oh our pipes suck now...."
looks like im going have to call the cartel to have them send the memo raise the prices in ohio

You guys aren't the ones getting screwed. Its us Canadians getting screwed. If I figured it out correctly it should be like this. $1 Canadian = .89American. and 1 gallon = 3.8 litres roughly. So 3.8 x 1.12 = $4.25 Gallon Canadian = $3.78 USD a gallon

2.67 in Dallas area. Lucky to find that. Can be 2.95 one place and 2miles down the road it 30 cents cheaper.
