Why do you need anything ..?.. They are the same bore , stroke , same wrist pin O.D , same rod (small end) I.D ..
lol maybe you should change your username!!!

short rod 85 motor needs a spacer plate to run a long rod piston,,, if it needs a bore just stay with a short rod piston,, then you won't need a spacer plate,,,

sorry,, NO they don't,,,, 85 atc has a shorter rod,,,, than a 88trx motor,, the crank is the same the rod is 5mm shorter thana 88 rod,,, maybe you should do a little research before giving false information,,,,

85 and 86 all are short rod motors,,, 87 to 89 are all long rod motors,,, this is for all atc and trx motors!!!

your missing the point!!!!!!!!!!! rod lenght has nothing to do with the stroke!!! go anywhere,,to any parts site and look at piston part numbers,,, they are different for 85-86 and 87-89,, because the ROD IS LONGER ON THE LATER YEARS ,,,,,, the pin location in the piston is the only difference,, its 5mm higher on the later pistons ,, that is why the spacer plate was invented!!!

wiseco part # for 85 526ps
wiseco part# for 88 562ps its DIFFERENT
RECAP!!! ALL ATC AND TRX 250r cylinders are the same,, all cranks are the same stroke,, all 85 and 86 atc and trx motors are short rods,, all trx 87 to 89 motors are long rods,,

hey doofie...the stroke is determined by the distance from the crank centerline to the connecting rod centerline x 2. the rod length changes the where the travel takes place...either higher in jug or lower.dont argue if you dont know your $hit !
