If you want a fast trike hold out for an 85 or 86 ATC 250R. The air cooled ones are cool in there own right because they pretty much started the performance aspect of all terrains but the 85 and 86 are alot faster, easier to get parts for, and they ride better.

$600.00 is on the high end for an 84 unless it is immaculate. Never heard of a trigger valve, maybe they mean the throttle. I guess someone could confuse it for a trigger.

They may also be mistaking trigger valve for a reed valve which would be an easy fix. Check out ebay to see what you could sell it for and maybe you can fix it and make a little cash.

There are two types of 250r's, air cooled & water cooled. I bet your dads was water cooled. They are alot faster than the aircooled ones which is what the guy that started this thread is talking about. I like them all its just that the watercooled ones are way cooler machines.

I havn't came across any liquid cooled 250r that I couldn't beat yet mines an 84 250r with 300r jug and I've smoked 310cc R's and 330's, not to mention banshee's, raptor 700's and all types of 450's.

they are fast. "well at least in a stright line". i used to own a 250r with a cr500 motor in it and it was crazyness. i got in tight times and had to sell it to my buddy. a couple of my buddys have 250r they have pipe air filter piston cam and they can keep up with my raptor 700 untill we get to a whoop section.

07 Raptor 700
K&N air intake
white brother pro alumium
pc3 efi
i-shock 5500 front end
reworked back shock
durablue x-33 2+2 axle

Ha Ha HA HAhahahahahah. LMAO. hahahahaha. You should be a comedian. HahahahahHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOL HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
ok i am going to stop laughing now..................BWAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAA. oK, i'm done now.

I am a true lover of atcs but the only way your r is out running a 310r is if it was a POS had a really crappy rider and you gat a start like keith little, or the guy ridding the 310 weighed about 500lbs. I have been all over the united states riding and I have never ever had a air cooled r outrun my r. and it is just .040 over, ported and polished, cr carb and ignition, ESR airbox eleminator kit, ESR ATC 5 pipe, ESR head, and i run CV12 fuel in it. I would definatly like to be the first to outrun your legend. BTW it your trike looks great.
