I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone, and thank eeryone in advance for all help you will lend me in the future.

I just picked up a 1985 Honda 200x this past weekend, and am very excited.

It is in pretty decent shape, i bought it from the second owner who owned it since 1986. He bought it from his next door neighbor.

He hasn't used it in over two years and hasn't started it it since then. He sold it cheap since he didn't believe it would run.

I took it home, put some gas in it, checked the oil, and decided to give it a try. It started on the fourth kick. was a little rough idle at first but took it for a spin down the street and it cleared up, and idles pretty well.

It is basically stock, with a k&n airfilter and a cobra exhaust. Came with brand new paddles, new front tire and a set of knobbies on ITP wheels. however when i put air in the knobbies only 1 held air (they both look pretty old.) I will replace with holeshots.


Anyways, I live in Southern California, and would love to go out to the desert if anyone is interested. I am a pretty laid back chik just love to meet new people.

wow crispy1960 thats a helpful site it has some good tips on cleaning up corroded stuff too

 

that was a heck of a deal for a 200x thats cheaper than i payed for one of my 185s s which i got at a farm aucution for spare parts.

any ways we need to get u riding by next week
