Inherited Honda ATC110
#1
I inherited a '85 Honda ATC110 for Christmas. I can't find a on/off switch or a light switch. Also, it came with a fuel line with a inline filter and a cylindrical foam filter, presumably an air filter. Should the fuel filter go on the main or reserve port? Thanks for your help.

I recently picked up an 84 ATC110.
If I had to choose which line to put the fuel filter on I would use the main port. If you run out of gas using the main port you are supposed to be able to switch over to reserve and have enough fuel left to head back home. This is in lieu of a fuel gauge.
The large foam filter will go in the airbox under the left hand side of the seat. It's pretty simple.
The on/off/light switch should look like this and be in the left bar.

While the switch is convenient, it's not necessary to have it since the the default position is "RUN".
I found a great reference source and placed it here (34mb)
Good luck.

Thanks for the picture.
1)Both the red and yellow buttons are missing. the headlight goes on, I hope it is low beam.
2)I got it started by squirting in a teaspoon of oil, pulling the starter rope a few times, squirting in a little gas putting in the plug and it started on the second pull, but only for a couple seconds. I repeated several times until it warmed enough to keep running.
3)Meanwhile, the fuel valve leaks in run or res positions (I will put in a new o-ring or gasket) so I shut it off after a few seconds. That was enough to let it run for a while. Then I'd open it for a little while.
4)It seems to idle very fast, so the centrifugal clutch is engaged all the time. I have to shift to nuetral to give it a rest.
5)Where to look for the idle speed adjust screw?
6)Right now we have a lot of snow in the yard and the left rear wheel spins but not the right. Is there a differential or does it drive only from the left side? When I reach a patch of ice, it wants to drift to the right because of the power on the left wheel only. Thanks for your help.

Thanks, sansabar, I downloaded the manual. While waiting about an hour for it to download, I read quite a bit of it. It has answered several of my questions. I still don't know if the axel is solid or not. Maybe I have a broken shear pin.

I've looked it over pretty good and found that the axle is solid. What I must have experienced was the different traction wheel to wheel when I hit icey patches. I can start it now, but it seems to be rather cold blooded. It takes a long time to warm up so it will run without coaxing. At 20 degrees maybe that is to be expected.
