Default 1983 ATC 250r chain Help

Ebay for the tools. I have seen them on there. I have the same ATC as you and I am almost done w/ my resto.!!! Can't wait!! To tighten the chain is very easy. Loosen the 2 allen bolts on the rear of the swingarm. Once that is done there is a large washer looking thing between the swingarm and rear sprocket that has notches cut into it. Since you don't have the spanner wrench I used to use(when I had my 200X) a long screwdriver or something of that nature to stick in those notches. Now you wanna make that turn by hitting your screwdriver down towards the ground. So if your facing say the passenger side of your atc looking at the rear sprocket the chain adjuster should move counterclockwise. Hope this helps. Good luck
