good deal on 200s?
#1
I have found a fairly nice '82 200s atc which appears to be all original (emphasis on appears) fro $450. It runs good and looks good. Just wondering if it's worth it and how easy or hard is it to find parts for it? Thanks

That is about $300 more than I would pay
Unless the thing is ready to ride needs nothing major like engine work or tires and plastic
I would start droping price as things need replaced
Like if needs tires there is 150
Seat cover 40
Plastic 150+
But then I am cheap
Last bikes I bought 2- 200X one 1983 one 1986
Both run have riden
Took 83 to the dunes smokes a little but ran great all I had to do with since bought is clean and install carb kit fix plastic cracked change oil and wash
86 needs some work 2nd gear not working and needs plastic
Only paid 300 for both
Just my opinion
Thanks

I'm 37 and have had my share of atv's over the years, just never a three wheeler. I would have gave my left nut when I was 11 for that very bike when it was new. I just want it for the nostalgia of it. It will probably never leave the 5.5 acres I live on unless I resale it. It reminds me of when I was a kid. I think in the future there will be alot of guys buying these for that reason and restoring them as well. I may be wrong, but like the muscle cars of the late sixties and early seventies I'm convinced the price on these in good shape will shoot up considerably higher than they are now. I think in another ten years, when the guys that grew up riding these are older, they will buy these to look at, not necessarily take them up monster hills. That's why I'm buying it. So probably half the money I'm giving for it is only because I can, versus when I was a boy and had nothing.

I am there with you
Just not as much land
and am 45
you are right these will go up in value
But you can still find good deals out there
I got into the 3 wheelers about 3 years ago again after having a new 200X in 84
First new vehicle
But then got married responsiblites changed sell 200x
Always did car thing street rods mainly
but then in 2004 bought a couple quads 400ex x 2
then got the 3 wheeler bug
Bought the first 110 i found $450
Yes I am attached to it I am in this 110 about $1,000 +
But I am still happy with my 110 ride the heck out of it
But I have not paid that much since for any of my other trikes
I guess it comes down to what is your fun worth
If this 200 is what you want and makes you happy
Just like my first 110 that I admit I am burried in
Cool
I would buy then
And have a blast
Good luck
