like the title says....

I have the gear case off that holds the gears for high and low, and there is a seal on the shaft that holds the shaft in thats hiding the front sprocket...should it pull out if i used a puller? or do i have to take something else apart?

thanks

parts diagram for the front sprocket

I could not open your attach
On the smaller bikes with the hi/lo you need to remove the cover / small gearbox
you should not need puller as it is just splined shaft
just take your time
Thanks

I find if you go to sites like bikebandit.com and look at the oem exploded view of the part you are trying to intall or remove, that it helps a lot.

You need to take a lot more apart. No puller needed. remove all the internals of the subtrans (hi/lo), Remove the recoil, stator assembly (you have to remove the bolt from the center of the flywheel to get it off, so you need something to keep the crank from moving), starter gears, and finally the case spacer plate. Then you can swap the sprocket and put it all back together! The manual wasnt much help. I just used the expolded parts view as mentioned earlier to get it all back together.
