Well ok, I recieved a 1983 Honda ATC 110, in poor condition, but it ran. I took the plastics off and powerwashed it. In the process i did something that mad eit lose its spark, yay! I shoved a juice tester, the one with a lightbulb in a screwdriver. nothing, so im thinking about cutting the wire behind the coil and testing there. Can anyone give me some good plces to check where there may be water damage or loose wire. Yup, or are you guys SURE its a bad ignition and should i just buy one off ebay?

wow i spell horribly, im financially retarted.... i have a 1985 xj700 that's sucking all my money rite now, but ya, i was looking at coils on ebay.. fund some for 10 bucks.. idk, a new one for 30

 

never power wash any type of ATV. just use a garden hose. thats all i use. when you power washed it you probably knocked a wire or something loose.

 

powerwashed all my quads all my life, but anyways, i was testing around a bit, and i dont know how i didnt see this earlier, the prong on my spark plug as bent to the seide and was touching the spark thing, so i bent it back, torched it, and it ran! but im gonna buy a new one.

 

so the outer electrode was touching the inner one. how did you get the inside of the spark plug wet anyways?

 

So tel me why power washing a bike is not good
I to have always used a power washer to clean all of my bikes trikes and cars
Yes I do agree power washing can get into places where ignition could get wet
But if it gets wet with power washer it would also be an issue when riding and go through water
Just my thoughts

And dielectric grease it works great on all electric connections

what do you mean how did i get it wet? if there was no spark, and i pulled the engine over, oh almost 100 times, with the choke on, yes im a moron, i thought on was off, explains how doggy it was. but still 100 pulls without a spark to ignite it will make it pretty wet..

 

i thought you meant you got it wet with water. excuse me. now everyone, off my back.
