Default What is happening?

alrite well im restoring my atc 110, painted the tank, went without a hitch, now when i tried topaint the front forks it sort of bubbled and retracted, idk how to explain it, even with a primer, which went on fine. is it because the metal is cold, it is pretty cool to touch. or what is goin on?

Your old paint is probably reacting to the new paint even with the primer
what kind of paint are you working with
Is it spray can
If so you may have to let the primer dry for a certian length of time
did you do any thing different on the tank than the forks
But
At this time you may (Will) be best to now strip the forks to bare metal and start over
Then you will know what is on there
Suggestion
Have front forks powder coated then they will be harder to scratch when riding
Good luck
Ray
