Cr500 into a 250R ATC

Anybody out their done a conversion using a CR500 into a 86 ATC 250R frame ,I am currently putting a 86 CR500 motor into a 86 ATC chassis ,I am looking for some before proublems somebody has had with this project ,as well as a idea on how you have fab a rear engine mount ,got the front and center mounts fab ,running a +7 swingarm ,is that enough ,any other thoughts ,Thanks Mike

You're doing it wrong...You should take the front end off your ATC and put it on the CR500 (bolts right on), then have the ATC swingarm modified to fit the CR frame mounts and you're done. You can fabricate mounts for the rear fenders yourself if you want to use them. Much easier, more reliable, less vibration and lighter.

I saw one in Silver Lake Sand Dunes last year and danm this thing was fast. The guy had it fully modified. The whole bike only weighed 198 lbs. I thought my 250 friend's 250R was fast in a drag, but WOW, no comparison to the 500.
