I have 1983 atc200e that I recently picked up and the electric start most of the time doesn’t work. It’s weird I’ll ride it for a bit and when I park it and go to ride again the electric start will work but most of the time it won’t the button just won’t engage anything. I took apart my button and it was all intact. Is there a ground that maybe isn’t getting a good connection or is this a sign my solenoid/relay is on its way out? Appreciate any info

Welcome to the forums.
By no means an electrical expert, but if it keeps going back and forth, I'd say it's definitely a loose wire. I'd check the negative wire from the switch all the way back to the ground on the battery.
Also not an expert but I would start by following the wires looking for damage or corrosion. Make sure grounds are making contact and everything is tight.
