At another board I moderate at, there is an on-going battle between which is faster in an allout top-end drag battle.

Its between the 350X and the Banshee. I say the 350X is faster. Some other posters claim to have seen a Banshee beat a 350X.

I figured I'd ask the ATC experts in this forum their opinion... What do you think?

 

What will a banshee run top end? on a flat road following a truck I ran 72 on mine, but I'm no lightweight either. A skinny guy would probably get 75 out of mine.

 

A Banshee will Walk all over the 350x!!

 

Anybody else with a non-biased opinion?

 

DirtBikeDotcom- I went to DirtBIke.com com and look at the Fourms and all most every one on there said the 350x could beat the Banshee. which i dont think could be true. You Should post this in the Yamaha Forums. You will Get tons of Answers.

Took me a long time to find it. some where at the Bottom. Near a link called Fresh Dirt or something like that.

 

well i can tell ya from a first hand expeirience that the 350x is fatser than the banshee stock let alone tweeked. i own a 1986 350x and i whooped the snot out of a banshee stock. now that i have gone through it and put in a 14:1 weisco piston (over .040), Barnett dirt digger clutch kit, a henson clutch basket, a web racing cam , a DG racing axhaust system, geared the tranny and nocked 3 teeth off the rear sprocket, and added 2 to the front a banshee doesn't even come close to winning. so go ahead and ride blue but if you do all you will see is the red of my tail light as i pass you. the 350x is faster and always will be.RIDE RED.

 

My '85 350x was not even close to brother-in-laws stock '99 Banshee. He ran away from me everywhere we rode.

 

Come on man!I love the old Trikes, but come on.As great as the old 350X was, it damn sure aint faster than a Shee.
