I have a 200 x that needs some help...For one thing, the rear shock acts like a pogo stick,so Im assuming it is blown and should be replaced. Any used shocks out there? Also it does smoke a bit... Can I replace just the oil ring and get by without a major engine rebuild? Any help is appreciated...

You might get away with a set of rings but alot of times the cylinger is worn or out of round also. It that is the case it won't take long to get ya back to where you are now. If I were goin to the trouble of takein the piston out and puttin new rings on er I would at least check the cylinder and probably get it bored.

This is just gerneral engine info. To be honest with ya I have little exp with 200x specificaly but in general it's all the same.

You might try adjusting the rear shock up if there is any adjustment left and as far as the smoke its time to freshen up the top end while you are in there laser cams are about $30.00 they are a great investment.I am in the middle of boring and reringing my 85.I just bought a Blaster but refuse to give up my trusty 200x good luck
