first off, im a new member, im glad to see such a following on 3 wheelers
now, on to my question. In the past, ive seen ads and such for the kits to convert a 3 wheeler into a quad. I looked into one of the companies and found that they no longer offer those kits. since then, i havent been able to find any other companies overing any parts. i have an 87 tecate 3, are there any kits out there to convert this, or do i have to fabricate the parts myself thanks in advance

PLEASE DO NOT CONVERT YOUR 87 TECATE!!!!!
That is the single most BEST LOKING three-wheeler ever made! It would be a shame to mess it up.
Besides for what you could sell it for you could afford a quad. In GOOD condition you could get $3000.00 easy for it in Oklahoma.

i already have a quad, but theres just so much power in the kxf, i feel its not being fully used, i was thinking about making some motor/transmission mounts, and just switch motors depending on what kind of terrain i was on, how do you think the 250 would perform in a 400ex chassis?

hey man. I agree 100%!! Dont go hackin up that Tecate3. That was one of the fastest production 3 wheelers ever made. If u want a quad, sell that Tecate, get aboot and 1000 bucks from the bank, and take a look for old banshees. I got my banshee for 1750 and it wastes everything I race. You wont be disappointed with an older moldel banshee if u find on in good condition. That damn thing suprises me alot!!!

well.........The kits cost $1600 and thats a cheap price, doesnt include time and labor for you or someone else to put it on.
FYI: Only complete and utter retards do conversions from trikes to quads, absolute MORONS.

yeah, i know about the tecate four, but they are even harder to come across, like i said before, i already have a quad amd i wanted to transplant engines back and fourth from the tecate and the 400 but, since everyone is so insistant that the tecate 3 shouldnt be hacked, i will honor its antiquity and not hack it up, maybe i should just sell it

Leaving aside the HUGE pain in the *** it would be to swap engines back and forth (WTF???), do the math. the cheapest conversion costs $1600. take that money and add to it what you could get for an '87 Tecate (1800+) and that gives you $3400 or more to buy something else. if you say you already have a quad and don't want another one why would you convert a 3wheeler into one? This isn't making much sense.
